Treasure Island is a destination in itself!

OK, it's true. Treasure Island is about 11 miles from Red Wing, MN and about 15 miles from Hastings. So if you don't have a car to get around, you are pretty much limited to things at the resort to keep you entertained. But There's enough going on at Treasure Island to to keep most folks entertained, even if the casino doesn't appeal to your sense of fun. Got a car? A fifteen to twenty minute drive can provide all the adventure you could want in either of two lively small cities nearby.

Within Walking Distance?
Guests of the hotel can find plenty to keep themselves occupied during their visit to DAX. Check out Treasure Island's website. The resort has 6 restaurants offering anything from fast food or buffet style to casual sit-down eating. You'll find live music on weekend nights in the Parlay Lounge - It's just one of the 5 bars/lounges on the property. They even have a casino! (but you knew that) There is a large arcade area as well and 24 lanes of bowling. Guests of the hotel are also welcome to enjoy the pool & fitness center.

Destinations By Direction
Welch MN is not without some charm of it's own. Featuring a restaurant or two and a delightful small ski area, Welch is about 10 miles to the Southwest of Treasure Island's complex.

Red Wing is the city made famous by the boots & shoes of the same name. Directly South of Treasure Island, Red Wing offers boutique shopping opportunities, numerous golf courses and even an 1800's paddlewheeler on Lake Pepin in summer.

Hastings is a rivertown to the North of Treasure Island that was placed on the map by an engineering marvel of the 19th century, the 'spiral bridge.' The bridge is gone, but the town is better than ever.
