The Digitizing Difference: Foam, Gradients, and Performancewear
Cost: $85.00 Earlybird, $99.00 Regular Price.
  Audience: Embroiderers / Digitizers

As a digitizer, you know that a great deal rests in the hands of embroiderers when it comes to perfect execution and results, that said, there are times when the best results can only come from high-quality digitizing. In this course, Erich Campbell covers three types of designs that rely heavily on digitizer skill and teaches you techniques to tame their toughest challenges. The course's three sections include:

Stop Fighting with Foam: Digitizing for Dimension without Disaster
Erich takes you through the technique you need to achieving clean 3D foam designs, from basic stitch settings and the two ways to terminate satin-stitch shapes, to the use of strategic underlays to prevent degradation and 'pop out' of foam elements in sharp corners and caps. The theory of foam and practical digitizing / embroidery techniques come together to give you a cleaner foam result.

Gradually Great - an in depth exploration of color blending and creating gradients
Erich takes you through the method of manually blending colors and arriving at beautiful blends without excess density or stiffness. Learn how to plan your blends, select your colors, and the digitizing tricks that make this time-consuming task possible. From theory to execution, Erich will help you get your head around the art analysis, preparation, and precise stitch placement that gets you the best results with smooth texture and color transitions.

A Brilliant Performance - Digitizing and Embroidery for Performancewear Success
Go beyond the results that careful preparation in both embroidery technique and material selection can provide through the use of digitizing tricks and techniques that avoid difficulties with puckering and poor stitching on performancewear.
